This year marks four years of working in the AI/ML and design space.
After three years at Snorkel AI, I moved to Airtable earlier this year to work on field agents (think more task-oriented AI agents, less chatbot-like). It's an exciting time to work with AI and help people better utilize AI for existing problems.
My perhaps stubborn take is that any serious AI product needs good evaluation (eval) UX. Many argue that building eval UX for B2C (or even some low-stakes B2B) is unnecessary as (1) models get better quickly and (2) users don't expect perfection. I believe that AI products have the responsibility to surface eval as a key step in the use of AI. If this also keeps you up at night, please DM :)
Personal life-wise, our family officially settled in Miraloma, SF earlier this year. I'm solidly in the phase of life where I want to spend most of my personal time supporting my family, friends, and communities. I'm also going to start decorating the s*** of my house for all upcoming holidays. Stay tuned 😈
